Get Lifted: Massage Therapy
Stress, injury, muscle tension and pain are just a few of the many reasons that people seek out massage therapy. Not to mention that touch is an essential human need that can trigger our brain to release chemicals that benefit our health. Our massage sessions are custom designed to meet your specific needs and goals and support your overall well-being. Sessions can be oriented around a specific area of focus because of pain or injury or, you can sign up for a weekly or monthly session as part of an overall wellness regimen.
What to expect in a session:
Massage sessions are 60, 90 or 120 minutes long. We’ll begin with a brief chat about your health history and goals for the session. (It’s helpful if you email your intake form prior to the appointment). We might apply manual techniques to encourage relaxation by soothing and quieting the nervous system with gentle hands-on touch or we might use deeper pressure to relieve muscle tension, improve range of motion and/ or support recovery from athletic training. You are encouraged to communicate with us during the session if there is anything we can do to improve your experience.
